For generations, the Bafaro family has produced its own wine, without ever disdaining the tasting of new and unknown varieties. Exotic wines, innovative experiments and unusual combinations are part of everyday life. Red, white and any other type, what unites the generations of our family is the search for the best grapes, the most secret “recipe” and the unique flavour. It is in this context, in an international landscape where niche wines have now carved out their own space, that we decided to create what for us is the emblem of excellence, the pinnacle of historical research in the field of oenology. Francesco Gabriele Bafaro, a career archaeologist and winegrower by vocation, is the creator and founder of this archaeo-oenological company. However, this family-run business could not do without key figures such as Raffaele Bafaro, an expert in the field of winemaking for decades. Maria Fusaro is in charge of public relations and organising events for our company. A glass of Acroneo wine, whether Arkon or Elektron, will give you the joy of an evening with friends, family warmth and the thrill of legend. The true vocation of Acroneo wine is to be born of myth and delivered to modernity thanks to the rediscovery of long-lost techniques.

Vino dell’Archeologo
Vino dell’Archeologo (the Archeologo wine), vinified and aged in amphorae for six months, has a burgundy red colour. Its aromas are reminiscent of the scent of undergrowth with notes of liquorice. Its taste is characterised by bitter almond flavours, with a harmonious structure and a fresh, pleasant finish.

Arkaios
The Castiglione grape variety has unique characteristics that cannot be compared to any other native Calabrian grape variety. The wines boast great complexity in their aromas, which persist over time and are even enhanced. These are wines that can compete with the great international grape varieties. The exact origins of Castiglione are unknown, but it is thought to have spread from the Middle Ages onwards. There are only 12 hectares in the world, located in Calabria. It is a palaeobotanical and biodiversity heritage at risk of extinction.

Arkon
Acroneo Arkon wine, vinified and aged in amphorae for six months, has a ruby red colour. The aromas are very complex and characterised by hints of black berries on a spicy background. The taste is powerful and harmonious, characterised by velvety and elegant tannins and a long and persistent finish.

Creta
Creta wine is a structured red with good acidity and freshness. The wine’s structure is youthful and appealing, with excellent persistence on the palate. It has notes of red fruit on the nose and a ruby colour.

Vino di Raffaele
The Vino di Raffaele (Raffaele’s wine), vinified and aged in French oak barriques, has an intense ruby red colour. It is characterised by aromas of small black berries on a backdrop of pleasant floral notes. The taste is harmonious and pleasant.
ROSÉ
Katia
Made from the ancient Calabrian Castiglione grape variety. It has a very intense and penetrating aroma. The bouquet is complex, with hints of red fruit, strawberry, pomegranate, balsamic and floral notes. On the palate, it is a powerful but balanced rosé with a long and persistent finish.
Extremely versatile, it pairs well with meat, fish and vegetables.
ORANGE
Elektron
This wine defies modern categorisation. The production of Acroneo Elektron white wine follows an ancient process that naturally produces amber hues. All the excitement of a distant, mythological past in a glass of wine.
